How do I add online booking to WordPress?
Try the demo, install the official plugin and choose a booking button or a complete booking form.
Try it without an installation
Open the WordPress demo. Choose a booking button or the complete booking flow, a theme and a wide or narrow page. Then launch WordPress Playground: you do not need to set up WordPress hosting yourself.
The demo uses sample data and the demo workspace. That workspace is only allowed on the demo website and WordPress Playground. Use your own Resevu workspace for your website; the demo is not a production configuration.
What do you need?
- Permission to install plugins and edit pages in WordPress.
- Your Resevu workspace slug, the desired language and widget theme.
- A Resevu admin who can allow your website in the online booking settings.
A slug identifies your workspace; it is not your email address or business name. Never share passwords or secret API keys with an AI assistant or website builder.
Install the plugin
- Download the official Resevu plugin.
- In WordPress, choose Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin. Upload the ZIP file, install it and activate it.
- Open Resevu in the WordPress menu. Enter your own workspace slug and choose the language and theme. Save the settings.
- Copy the website origin shown by the plugin. Ask your Resevu admin to add it under Settings → Online channels, in the allowed widget URL field. Save that change too.
An origin consists of the protocol and domain, optionally with a port, for example https://www.yourwebsite.com. Do not include a page path. https://yourwebsite.com and https://www.yourwebsite.com are different origins. Only allow websites you actually use.
Place a button or the complete form
Open the desired page in the WordPress editor. Add the Resevu Booking Widget block for a button that opens booking, or the Resevu Booking Flow block for the complete form on the page.
Using the classic editor or a page builder? Place a shortcode block or shortcode element containing one of these shortcodes:
[resevu_booking_widget]
This places the booking button.
[resevu_booking_flow]
This places the complete booking form. On a narrow page, choose a column where the module remains fully visible. The layout adapts to the available width; do not scale down the entire page with a transform.
Let AI help with installation
Use the separate WordPress prompt in Resources. Provide your website, workspace slug, language, theme and desired placement. The prompt asks the AI to read the documentation and propose a plan first. Review its suggested changes before publishing.
Check before publishing
Test on desktop and mobile and navigate with the keyboard. Check treatments, durations, employees and available times. Only test a booking and any payment in an appropriate test environment; a booking in your own workspace may create a real appointment, email or payment.
Seeing Invalid tenant? Check the slug and whether you accidentally used demo details. Is the website denied? Ask the admin to check the exact origin. No available times? Ask the admin to check active treatments, employee schedules, opening hours and booking rules. Also consult the technical installation guide.
